GROOMING RELEASEIt is important to understand that some pets respond to grooming differently, even with the best efforts. We will try within our ability to make sure that your pet’s experience at the salon is a pleasant one.
If your pet has pre-existing conditions (such as skin allergies, shampoo allergies, moles, clipper sensitivity, matting and tangles, fleas or parasites, fear or behavioral issues, bone or joint sensitivity, heart or other health conditions, seizures, etc.) it is helpful that you as the pet owner inform us of anything that you are aware of prior to grooming to allow us to accommodate your pet’s specific needs.
We offer a variety of spa formulas to choose from including Hypoallergenic Oatmeal & Baking Soda Shampoo (which we use as our general shampoo), Flea & Parasite Formula, Furminator Treatment, Crisp Coat for terriers, and Malasab or Tea Tree Medicated Shampoos for severe skin conditions.
Severely matted coats will require a short clip to avoid the stress and the pain that would be caused by attempting to de-matt your pet. We will be happy to instruct you in ways to care for your pet’s hair and maintain a beautiful coat between appointments to avoid stripping.
Matted hair pulls and binds causing pain, lack of air circulation to the skin, hot spots (rashes), bacterial and fungal infections. Fleas, ticks and other parasites may also cause further skin inflammation.
Although we are very careful during the grooming process, there is a slight chance of injury or skin irritation. Behavioral issues may improve with regular visits to the Pet School and Hotel’s Training Classes. We do not offer sedation, only gentle restraint. If pets cannot safely tolerate the grooming process, the owner will be notified and the pet will be returned.
This Release acknowledges your awareness and grants us the permission to proceed.
I am aware and understand the terms of the above, and hereby release PET SCHOOOL AND HOTEL and Groomer, Michelle L. Howard from any liability within the reasonable limits of the grooming process.
